Merseyside and Cheshire Blood Bikes
Merseyside and Cheshire Blood Bikes have been in existence for over 40 years. They not only deliver blood, but samples, paperwork and more recently donated breast milk from hospital to hospital. The riders are all volunteers, often using their own bikes to carry out their duties. Several of the volunteers are Freemasons and they have recently been awarded ‘The Queens Award for Voluntary Service’ and this was presented by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire at Christleton on 2ndAugust. In the presence of Senior Freemasons Rob Bramley, Dennis Talbot and Harry Wright who are all closely connected with the Cheshire Freemasons Charity. The presentation of the bike came with an additional donation to ensure it is maintenance free and fuel provided for the next twelve months.
