Welcome to the Autumn Newsletter, I hope you have all had a pleasant summer.
The total number of Bears donated to the Children’s A&E units in Cheshire is 86,530 and figures for individual Hospital Units can be viewed at www.cheshiretlc.org.uk. During the Close season we had a stall at the ‘Family Fun Day’ which was hugely successful not just for the 2016 Festival but also the TLC.
We raised £325 for the appeal and made many new friends both within Freemasonry and also with their friends and family.
One little boy is now the proud owner of our raffle bear and I think his Dad is quite pleased as well. A big thank you is due to everyone who helped with the stall, including Frank Keating for the Candy Floss and ‘Yummy Mummy‘ Party Packs and Sweetie Buffet. We were also delighted to attend the Province of Cheshire AGM at the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton.
Teddy visited the Children’s A&E at Halton Minor injuries as part of his tour of the Province, where the staff and patients made a big fuss of him: The focus of our attention is now the 10th anniversary of the TLC Appeal in Cheshire next year. We already have several events planned with more being added; watch out for the posters “Cheshire TLC Appeal Anniversary Tour”.
If you would like to suggest or organise an event in your area please contact your Area TLC Representative who will be happy to help.
For up to date details of all the events and how to donate/sponsor please visit our web site: www.cheshiretlc.org.uk It is likely that the end of 2014 or early 2015 will see us reach another milestone, when we donate the 100,000th Bear.
Teddy will be having a very busy year and will continue his visits to the Children’s A & E units in the Province of Cheshire.
