60 Years of Royal Arch Masonry

At the end of November 2016 over 60 Royal Arch Companions lead by the Deputy Grand Superintendent  E Companion Rob Bramley assembled at Cheshire View to celebrate the 60th anniversary of E Companion William Edward Stanley Devine’s exaltation into Royal Arch Masonry. His exaltation took place on 8th October 1956 when he joined Egerton of Tatton Chapter No 2132 at the age of 26.  Bill’s vocation meant that he didn’t remain in any locality for too long but eventually settling in Chester he joined Letchworth Chapter in 1983 and became its First Principal in 1986.

He has been a stalwart of the Chapter for over 30 years and served in a number of offices. He has seen his four sons and two grandsons exalted into Royal Arch Masonry. Now an honorary member he stall maintains an active interest in the affairs of the Chapter and attends as often as he can. Bill was congratulated on his splendid achievement and the Companions look forward to his company on many future occasions.
