The Provincial Grand Lodge of Cheshire is proud to be spearheading a unique & historic event at United Grand Lodge of England on Saturday 18th August 2018 which will see a team of ‘Light Blue’ Cheshire MMF members supported by ‘Light Blue’ Installed/Past Masters conducting a full 2nd Degree ‘Passing’ Ceremony for a Cheshire Entered Apprentice under the Banner of Manor Lodge No.4202.
The event is being supported by the 2012 Prestonian Lecturer WBro Tony Harvey who will present his Prestonian Lecture entitled ‘Scouting & Freemasonry: two parallel organisations?’ There will also be the opportunity for family & friends to undertake a walking tour of Freemasons’ Hall whilst the 2nd Degree ceremony is being conducted – these tours have been especially commissioned and will include rooms not usually including in the regular public tours.
The event is being led by WBro Paul Anthony Massie, APGM Area One & WBro Jeff Cunningham, Area One Chairman, and they are actively inviting Brethren (inc. family & friends) from not just the UK Provinces but also from our Overseas Districts, to come and witness the future of Freemasonry in the stunning surrounds of our illustrious HQ, Freemasons’ Hall.
For Cheshire Brethren wishing to attend, 10 executive coaches have been arranged; they will pick up from 2 strategically selected locations within each Area. The cost for the round trip is £35.00 per person.
Full details of the day together with the relevant application forms can be found on the ‘MMF at UGLE 2018’ website: www.mmfugle2018.org.uk
The ‘Light Blues’ are our future so come and support them and don’t miss the chance to be part of this historic day for Cheshire Freemasonry.
