On Thursday evening 30th November, 53 Brethren & Companions enjoyed an excellent evening at Neston Masonic Hall in the presence of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, WBro David V Dyson; the Area One AsstProvGM WBro Paul A Massie; the Provincial Second Principal EComp Philip E Rowland and the Area One APGP EComp Stephen Christian.
Following the meal, WBro David in returning thanks for the toast proposed to him by the Area One Chairman WBro Jeff Cunningham, stated his support for Masonic Hall’s and congratulated Neston MH on the recent remodelling works which had been undertaken. He encouraged everyone to look at ways in which the halls can be more proactive within the wider Community. He also recommended the forthcoming visit to UGLE by the MMF in August 2018 and again encouraged as many as possible to attend and support the future of Cheshire Freemasonry.
A Q&A session was the final part of the evening with several questions being ‘fielded’ by WBro David and the other Senior Brethren & Companions present. Issues raised included ‘Per-Capita fees’; later Tyling times; replacing the Festive Board with a lighter style of meal; the importance of younger Brethren to the future of Freemasonry and Area Boundaries.
The evening was concluded by WBro Jeff who thanked everyone for attending (especially WBro David who had endured a 2hr journey) and wished them a safe journey home.
