Samaritan Lodge 386 presents two cheques to local charities

What a wonderful way to finish the year, W. Brother Geoff Newsome the outgoing Master of Samaritan Lodge presented two cheques to local charities. Springfield School received a cheque for £5,000 and the TLC a cheque for £1,000, over the year the Lodge have given over £14,000 to local charities. Geoff Newsome held a number of social events including several Sunday Lunch’s, a massive summer picnic in a marquee and a Ladies Evening held at Nantwich Civic Hall. Samaritan Lodge was formed in 1821 is a one of only two Cheshire Luna Lodge’s where years ago members would meet in local Inns and after a few “noggins” would use the light of the moon to find their way home. That’s not the case now; members are more reserved but they still have a wonderful ability to raise money for local charities.
