Sunday 8th July, found Cheshire Masons sharing with the public. On one of the hottest days of the year we again had a presence at the Annual Parkgate Carnival organised by Northern Lights Children’s Charity.
This year there were 7,656 people through the turnstiles, 2,000 more than the previous year. The ‘Masonic Gazebo’ was well visited by many of them some of whom were surprised by our information.
W.Bro. Leyland Preston had grown a large number of plants which he sold on behalf of the TLC.
The day resulted in 9 gentleman completing Further Enquiry Forms, 2 Ladies who were very interested in the Ladies Masonic Order, 2 Unattached Brethren who wished to renew their Masonic Career, 1 unattached Local Brother who was looking for a ‘Day Time’ Lodge was pointed in the direction of Dee Lodge (Neston) and finally £171.50 for the TLC raising by W.Bro. Leyland’s plants, the Tombola and some TLC Merchandise.
