‘Freemasonry in the Community’ at Wirral in Bloom

On Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th of August, the Brethren from Areas 1 & 2 combined to run an ‘Openness Stall’ to help increase the awareness of what our fraternity stands for, at the Wirral in Bloom festival, in Birkenhead Park.

Despite the weather forecast being adverse over the weekend, the Festival was blessed with good weather, and was deemed a great success attracting over 2500 visitors over the two days. Many popped in to see our presentation, and chat to the Brethren about Freemasonry, and what we do in the Community.

The presentation by the Brethren resulted in five expressions of interest to join our order, and these are currently being followed up by our Provincial Membership officer.

Our next ‘Freemasonry in the Community’ venture is at Tam O’Shanters Farm on 26th of August, and Area 1 and Area 2 are having open days in support of the ‘Wirral History and Heritage Association’ over the weekend of the 8th and 9th September at Manor Road Masonic Hall, Wallasey on the 8th and Clifton Road Masonic Temple, Birkenhead on the 9th. We hope to see you there.
