Betley Show now in its 161st year is a traditional family, fun day out with many varied and interesting exhibits and activities for young and old. The show has been held at WBro Frank Speed’s Betley Court Farm, Betley, near Crewe since time immemorial and continues to attract visitors from far and wide. Cheshire Masons were on hand to judge events, WBro Sebastian Daly MRCVS providing veterinary services for the animals and a stall reserved for WBro Ron Evans Provincial TLC Officer.
Held on 4th August, the weather couldn’t have been better for the Horse Showing, stalls and many exhibits, the classes were very well subscribed and as many as 27 ponies and riders in the ring at one time. The day went well and in the afternoon on the hill in the horsebox parking area families who had tied old dobbin to the trailer had their picnics out enjoying their family and the day. Monies generated are dispersed among the community of Betley and other charities.
