2016 Festival in aid of the MSF
On Friday 20th May, the Province of Cheshire 2016 Festival in aid of the Masonic Samaritan Fund was formally closed at a Banquet held at the Manchester United suite in the presence of the Pro Grand Master, MWBro Peter Geoffrey Lowndes, accompanied by our Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Stephen Martin Blank and Dr Marilyn Blank and present and past Leaders from the Province of Cheshire together with a number of distinguished guests from the Masonic Samaritan Fund and adjacent Provinces.
The event was very well supported by almost 600 Cheshire Brethren and their wives & partners, who enjoyed an excellent meal and entertainment, along with addresses from the Pro Grand Master, our Provincial Grand Master and other senior Brethren.
RWBro Stephen Martin Blank, Provincial Grand Master of Cheshire requested the 575 Guests to stand and toast
“The Success of the MSF“
Richard Douglas, CEO of the MSF, then stood and with everyone holding their breath, announced that a Grand Total of £3,010,793 had been raised by the Province of Cheshire. His announcement was received with acclaim.
Our Provincial Grand Master wishes to extend to all Brethren within Cheshire Lodges a heartfelt and grateful thanks for their kind and generous donations, fund raising and contributions throughout the last six years to this most worthy charitable fund for which the Province of Cheshire can be justly proud. Without your sustained and constant support this would never have been possible.
The Provincial Grand Master also has expressed a sincere and grateful thanks to WBro Paul Richards, the Festival Chairman, and his Festival Committee for their hard work over the duration of the Festival, and to WBro Gary Horstman and his Banqueting Committee for the organisation and staging of the excellent event held on 20th May.
