Stamford Lodge Raises £970 over weekend at Llandudno

Fred Cable a Past Master of Stamford Lodge No1045  organised a fund raising weekend away at the Tynedale Hotel Llandudno, the event was attended by 102 people comprising Lodge Members and their Guests. The Friday Evening  Raffle raised £470 the first prize being 1gallon of Scotch Whisky the Money is to be distributed as follows:-

£420 to the “Cheshire Freemasons’ Charity”

and £50 will be used to sponsor Nathan Midgley the Hotel’s Owner who with 4 friends will be rowing from Douglas Isle of Man to Llandudno in late August 2017 to raise funds for “Help the Heroes”, “The RNLI Lifeboat Service”, “The British Tinnitus Association” and the “Cleft Lip and Palate Association” together they hope to raise £20,000.

Jack Dalgleish is 10 years old and suffers from CRPS

On Saturday Evening the Lodge Members and Guests contributed gifts to a grand Raffle which raised the magnificent sum of £500 the winner of the first ticket drawn was 10 year old Jack Dalgleish a formerly active young man who now suffers from CRPS








What is astounding is that the Lodge had decided that the funds raised should go to Burning Nights a Charity set up to raise awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) which is a painful, debilitating, chronic condition which occurs in typically the legs, arms, hands and feet.

A wonderful enjoyable weekend where everyone enjoyed good food and company in a lovely Hotel and raised £970 for Charitable causes .
