The NeuroMuscular Centre (NMC) is a charity based at Winsford to improve the quality of life for adults and young people with Muscular Dystrophy. For a number of years Tarporley Lodge has raised funds to support NMC; it is a world class facility in Cheshire, where patients from around the country, as well as their families have access to a range of unique services and specialist advice for people with Muscular Dystrophy, ranging from Physiotherapy, Training, Design + Print Services, Support and Advice.
This year Tarporley Lodge has supported a local girl, Angel Burton who has Cerebral Palsy with money towards treatment in the USA and were aware of the help a specific donation could make. In addition, Tarporley Lodge were able to purchase a specialised bed as part of the new £500k expansion. The beds can lift from horizontal to vertical and rise and fall, to help the physiotherapists provide the best care for their patients.
