Mother & Daughter Lodges hold a 7th Successive Race Night for Charities

Following a number of successful ‘joint’ Race Nights, WBro John Cox and WBro Derek Scott once again took on the challenge to plan a charitable night for members of Caerlleon Lodge and St James Lodges – they were not to be disappointed with more than one hundred and thirty people turning up, all eager to place a bet, become a trainer or buy a horse.

The evening was held at Cheshire View and was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, seeing the Stanley Walker Suite full to capacity. In addition to the Race Events, guests enjoyed a supper, drinks and of course a lot of chatter.

As ever, the profits from the event are split three ways, a third to Caerlleon, a third to St James for Charities of their choice and a third to The Hospice of The Good Shepherd. After settling all the bills the Race Night cleared a profit of £1169.00, a fantastic achievement. The Lodges would like to thank their members for their ongoing generosity and support.
