Four Cardinal virtues celebrates Gordon Tattons 50 Years

“You’re never too old to celebrate your 50th Anniversary”, so say all members of Cardinal Virtues Lodge when their senior member Gordon Tatton at 91 years of age crossed the 50 year finishing line on Tuesday at Willaston Masonic Hall. Members of the Lodge gathered to hear George Mann APGM detail Gordons rich history and the time the Lodge met at The Railway Hotel in Crewe. Gordon remembers the time when he was manager of the Wheel Workshop at Crewe during the war years and produced 1000’s of wheels for rolling stock used to carry armaments throughout the country. Gordon is a very keen gardener, only recently has he given up his allotment but continues vegetable production in his large garden. Members of Four Cardinal Virtues Lodge presented Gordon with a garden seat so he may watch those massive marrows grow in his well-tended vegetable plot. During the evening George Mann APGM promoted Gordon to the new rank of PPrSGW in recognition of his many services to Freemasonry.
