Two members of St. Anselm Lodge based at Queen Street, Chester successfully completed the 2017 London Marathon and together with a lady colleague raised £7,500 in aid of their chosen charity “Dreams Come True”.
Alex Makinson and Robin Gill both work in Chester City and decided to support those less fortunate than themselves. They chose “Dreams Come True” a national children’s charity that works hard to enrich the lives of children and young people with serious and life-limiting conditions aged between 2 and 21 years old. The three set-to by raiding their money boxes and harassing colleagues and friends to part with their money and eventually amassed a whopping £7,500. This spurred them on to finish the gruelling 26.2 miles run with the satisfaction they will help others and win one of those coveted Marathon Medals.
Well done to Chester Freemasons Alex and Robin from St Anselm Lodge
