A wonderful afternoon was enjoyed at Runcorn Masonic Hall when family, friends and many members of Masonic Orders met for an Afternoon Tea in memory of Graham Clayton. All the proceeds of the afternoon being donated to SARCOMA UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. It is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma.
Graham was a well liked and popular Freemason in many Orders including Craft, Royal Arch and Mark Master Masons in all of which he had held Acting Rank. He was also a member of Royal Ark Mariners and Knights Templar. He was also a past Chairman of Runcorn Masonic Hall and the current Secretary up to his brave battle against cancer ended 12 months ago.
The Afternoon Tea had been organised by Graham’s widow Sylvia, family and friends, many raffle donations had been received from local businesses as well as friends, which enabled the massive sum of £3530 to be raised for SARCOMA UK, this figure then grew to £3830 following a generous donation from Graham’s Runcorn Lodge No.4214, the Lodge into which Graham was Initiated in1991.
