WOW! what a spectacular sight when six members of Chester University became Freemasons yesterday in a ceremony that outshone anything seen before. In two waves of three, six young men all in their late teens early twenties were conducted around the Lodge by Junior and Senior Deacons themselves introduced into Freemasonry only 18 months before. The ceremony ran like a well-oiled Cheshire Machine that purred into action with such perfection it made members and guests quiver with excitement. Master Jim Middleton conducted the ceremony twice with help from Master Masters under the watchful eye of Keith Grey the Director of Ceremonies.
The University Lodge of Chester is working to perfection, every one of the six new members will remember the evening they became a Freemason, the Lodge is doing very well with two former University Student Fellow Crafts joining from other Provinces and a number of other candidates waiting to become Freemasons in this very buoyant Lodge.
Next month the Lodge will dedicate their new Banner and perform a double third degree.
