Cheshire Freemasons Charity supports Reuben’s Retreat

Mike Keightley from Area 4 with Colin Ross presents donation to Sally Anne Jones

Reuben’s Retreat is a charity that was born in memory of Reuben Michael Graham who tragically passed away aged 23 months. Their goal is to provide a retreat in the North West of England countryside that will relieve the distress of families and their close friends who have suffered the bereavement of a child or have a child suffering from a life limiting or life threatening illness.

The Charity is committed to a multi million pound refurbishment

Since 2012 the charity has already raised 1.5 million pounds and made great progress having refurbished the Lodge which is the smaller of the two main buildings on the site to provide offices, a communal meeting area, counselling rooms, a therapy room and an apartment for visiting families.

They have ambitious plans to renovate the larger main building, initially to provide Hydrotherapy, Sensory Movie, Dressing up, Arts/Crafts, Messy Play and Multipurpose spaces. This is a huge multi million pound 10 phase project, which they hope to be entirely up and running by 2020

On 15th April Mike Keightley the Area 4 Charity Representative presented a donation of £1000 to Sally Anne Jones on behalf CFC.  The funds will be used to provide a storage solution, portable adjustable treatment bed with covers  and a diffuser with essential oils in the Wellbeing Room which delivers relaxation and therapy services.
