Members from the Royal Arch Demonstration Team attended Samaritan Lodge No. 368 at Sandbach on Wednesday 17th April to perform the Talking Heads playlet which is an introduction to the Royal Arch for brethren who have not yet joined the Order. The team were invited by Bro David Platt the Worshipful Master who is himself a Royal Arch Mason and also a member of the demonstration team.
It is fair to say that every brother present at the meeting made their daily advancement in Masonic knowledge on the evening and Bro Simon Harrison the Junior Deacon of the Lodge (who has just become a father) announced that he had decided to join Royal Arch through the associated Samaritan Chapter No 368.
In attendance at the meeting were WBros Mike Keithley and David Williams who are the Assistant Provincial Grand Principals for Areas 4 and 5 respectively. In the Lodge WBro Williams spoke of the 150th anniversary of the Royal Arch in the Province of Cheshire which is marked this year – and of the founding of the first new Chapter in the Province for 30 years. As a new exaltee, Bro Harrison will be invited to attend the ceremony that consecrates the new Chapter. The social board following the meeting enjoyed an excellent meal and raised a generous sum for charity with Bro Simon Harrison being the recipient of a special toast to mark his new job as a proud father!
