Northwich Lodge No. 428 – Celebration on WBro Rev Geoffrey Herbert Buchan 50 Years’ in Freemasonry

Northwich Lodge No. 428 was fortunate to have the company of Worshipful Brother Adrian Davies, APGM to celebrate 50 years in Freemasonry of WBro Rev Geoffrey Herbert Buchan PJGD at Northwich Lodge’s special May meeting in the Hartford Golf Club.

WBro Michael Shiels PProvSGW acted as Worshipful Master for the evening.

The brethren heard a fascinating history of Geoffrey’s life and career and his exceptional service to Masonry and local communities.

In line with Rev Geoffrey’s wishes a substantial cheque was donated to the local diabetic’s organisation.

Mr Trevor Fudger was on hand to receive the cheque for £500 on behalf of the diabetic’s organisation and thanked everyone in the lodge for the donation.

After the meeting, Trevor forwarded the following link for people to find out more about diabetes:-

Trevor commented that this is a really simple way for people to identify within themselves that they might be affected. This will, he hopes, motivate people to arrange a meeting with their GP, if they are concerned.
