WBro Leslie R Campsie PAGStB celebrated 50 Years in Craft Freemasonry at Domville Lodge No 4647 in the Spread Eagle Hotel, Lymm on Friday 10th April in the company of VWBro Thomas Ian Cranston PGSwdBr DPGM and a delegation of Acting Cheshire Provincial officers. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master WBro Martin R Barlow PSGD presented the history of Leslie from his initiation into Crusaders Lodge No1677 in London, his life in the Newspaper Industry and his move up to Appleton. Leslie has always been an active Freemason and continued with enthusiasm, joining Domville Lodge No 4647, Earl of Chester Chapter No.1565 and Bridgewater Lodge of Installed Masters No.9591.

As a big surprise two Members of his Mother Lodge, Crusaders No.1677 came up from London to confirm the high esteem in which he is held. They are WBros Philip Wood LGR WM  and Noel Tiernan LGR Secretary, and were hidden away by the Domville Members until just before the Opening. Leslie was pleasantly taken aback when he recognised his former colleagues.
