On Tuesday 16th May John Brunner Lodge made a charity donation of £400 to the Alzheimer’s Society in their Northwich office.
Ashley Dodd said “This year, as part of Dementia Awareness Week, Alzheimer’s Society asked people to come together to unite against dementia, forgetting their differences to help urgently find a cure, improve care, and offer help and understanding. Dementia doesn’t care who you are; it could affect us all. It’s set to be the 21st century’s biggest killer, with someone developing it every three minutes, and so many people are facing it alone”.
Ashley further commented that “4,732 people are currently living with dementia in Cheshire West and Chester, and our local services including the Dementia Café in Winsford, as well as Singing for the Brain and walking groups provide support for people affected by dementia throughout the local area. Alzheimer’s Society is here for anyone affected by dementia. The charity provides information and support, to find out more please call the local office on 01606 781110, National Dementia Helpline on 0300 222 1122 or visit www.alzheimers.org.uk.”
