St Luke’s is an adult Hospice that cares for people suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The main site is at Winsford and a second site is at Winterley Grange near Sandbach.
St Luke’s is a non-profit making organisation offering around the clock care, advice and support to hundreds of seriously ill people and their families. The free care provided is expensive and this year 82% of the costs need to be raised from donations, this equates to £3.1million equivalent to £8614 per day or £6 every single minute.
The hospice has an In-patient unit which cares for 10 patients, a Day Hospice which cares for 15 patients a day and provides care and support, on average, for 157 persons per week throughout the community.
