Defibrillator donated to Leicester Warren Hall, Knutsford

Good Endeavour Lodge No. 6628  presented Leicester Warren Hall with a potentially life saving Defibrillator at their regular Meeting on Saturday 12th April.  The Lodge was called off and some of the Staff from the Hall were invited to hear a presentation by WBro Howard Bracegirdle PPrSGW about the number of Sudden Cardiac Arrests in the UK ( 12 people under the age of 35 die every week ) and it was stressed that every minute that goes by following such an arrest reduces the chance of survival by 7%. Early Defibrillation can triple a victims chance of survival.

The Physio Control Lifepak CR Plus Defibrillator  was handed over to WBro Nigel Cooper PAPGM,  PSGD Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Hall by Acting Worshipful Master WBro John McCall who hoped that the machine would never be called upon to be used.

The Evening was tinged with sadness as due to diminishing membership the Lodge Balloted for a Notice of Motion verbally announced on 8th March that the Lodge of Good Endeavour be closed, the vote was unanimous and Four Trustees were elected to oversee the closure procedure.

The Brethren and Visitors enjoyed a fine meal
