On Thursday 14th January at Sale Masonic Hall, Ashton upon Mersey Lodge No. 4654 hosted a Presidential Patronage Awards Evening.
WBro Colin Ross ProvGChSwd Vice Chairman of the 2016 Festival in aid of the Masonic Samaritan Fund and Worshipful Master of Ashton upon Mersey opened the Lodge and welcomed RWBro Stephen Martin Blank Provincial Grand Master together with a large Provincial Deputation
WBro Paul Stefan Richards Chairman of the 2016 Festival opened the Awards Ceremony and introduced WBro David Littlewood Vice Chairman who gave a talk on the progress of the Festival and the importance of the Charities. There then followed short speeches from the Charity Stewards of the three Lodges due to receive Presidential Patronage.

The Provincial Grand Master RWBro Stephen Martin Blank presented Presidential Patronage Certificates to each of the above Lodges
The WM of Ashton upon Mersey WBro Colin Ross presented a cheque made out to the MSF in the sum of appropriately £2016
The Lodge of Harmony presented a cheque for £1,000
Representatives of the following Lodges were then presented with Grand Patronage Certificates by the Provincial Grand Master :-

Semper Fidelis Lodge No. 3453 based at Hartford Golf Club , Northwich
Steadfast Lodge No. 5960 based at Sale
Wheatsheaf Lodge No.9170 based at Knutsford
Chapter of Harmony No. 4390 based at Sale
Cheques from attending Lodges were presented to the Provincial Grand Master who said how much he had enjoyed the occasion and was grateful for the energy of the Lodges and Chapters of all Areas throughout the Province in raising money for the Festival.
WBro Paul Richards Chairman of the 2016 Festival relished the approaching conclusion of a job well done in the company of WBro Peter Owen. the final figures of the money raised by the Province of Cheshire will be revealed at the Festival Banquet to be held at Manchester United’s Ground on May 20th 2016
WBro Martin Barlow Assistant Grand Master for Area 3 and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master VWBro Alan Glazier were obviously delighted that the Awards evening had been a great success
RWBro. Stephen Blank the Provincial Grand Master enjoyed the banter with the Worshipful Master WBro Colin Ross and good humour of the Festive Board
WBro Harvey Greenough in the absence of WBro Paul Eeles took on the role of Acting Immediate Past Mast Master and made the most of his opportunity to speak in proposing the toast to the Worshipful Master at the delightful Festive Board.
