The Good Companions Lodge support Blind Sailors

On Thursday 8th June 2017, members of Good Companions Lodge No: 6759 attended at The Royal Mersey Yacht Club, Rock Ferry, Birkenhead.

The visit was in support of ‘The Sailing Club for The Blind’ and to present a Cheque, in the sum of £250.00 which is to be used for the purchase ‘Buoyancy Aids’ for the safety of their members.

Uk North Blind Sailing Association is a Registered Charity based on Merseyside. The Committee Members and Sighted Crews/Helpers are all unpaid volunteers who plan, fund raise and deliver the projects. The aim of the association is to promote the Social Inclusion of blind people in the community through participation in the sport of sailing.
