Oxton Lodge hosted the Celebration of 50 years in Freemasonry for one of its Initiates W.Bro. Peter James Dowell PJGD.
The meeting was attended by V.W.Bro. Alan Glazier PGSwdBr. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master.
Over 70 Brethren attended, including high ranking Craft Masons, and Heads and Past Heads Of other Orders, and a Delegation of Active Provincial Officers, which indicated the high regard in which Peter is held. All members of Oxton Lodge were in attendance.
The meeting and festive board was conducted in the expected high manner, by the Provincial D.C. W.Bro. Royston Jones.
The occasion was honoured by the presentation of Charitable Donations, The Stroke Association £250.00. CMC £250.00. both on behalf of Oxton Lodge. W.Bro. Leyland Preston, on behalf of Buckingham and Chandos Lodge, presented a cheque of £300.00 to Pam Dowell’s favoured charity. The Wirral Fund for Children with Special Needs.
At the festive board the W.M. W.Bro Mike Jones presented to Peter, on behalf of the members, engraved cufflinks, a bottle of special clear liquid, and a floral display for Pam.
An excellent evening was had by all.
