On Saturday 7th April 2018, ‘The Members’ Pathway’ was formally Launched in Areas 1 & 2 at a conjointly arranged Seminar at the Whitby Social Club.
WBro. Adrian Davies (APGM 3), with responsibility for ‘Membership’, introduced the speakers who included WBros Tony Carss and Paul Cotton (Provincial Membership Team), Ian Smith (Provincial Mentor) and the Area Mentors, Mike Ireland (Area 1) and Pete Kellett (Area 2).
The event was a great success with 56 present, representing the vast majority of the Area Lodges as well as a small number of Brethren from adjoining Areas.
‘The Members’ Pathway’, which is available to be viewed online, explains in detail each of the steps that are recognised as ‘Best Practice’, covering everything from Lodge planning, how to attract potential candidates through to their introduction, and hopefully initiation. How to engage Candidates within the lodge and on to successful mentoring and engagement, so that they enjoy their Freemasonry and become valued members of our Lodges.
The Meeting which was also attended by the Area Chairmen and the APGM for Area 2, was concluded by WBro. Adrian Davies who thanked the Presenting Team and attendees.
It is anticipated that ‘The Members’ Pathway’ will be further presented in various lodges from September with further details being provided nearer the time.
