Eminence Chapter, No: 3653 doates £1000.00 to Local Charities
A recent visit to Clare Mount special school resulted in E.Comp Ken Mallon, (APGP), and E.Comp Dave Perkins, (Area 2 Charity Rep.), presented a cheque of £500.00 to the Mrs K Webster, (Head Teacher) and Mr T Lindsay, (Head of English), on behalf of Eminence Chapter. On receiving the cheque Mrs Webster informed all present that the monies will be used to purchase Kindle Tablets, which will greatly assist the pupils with their reading skills. The school has 230 special needs pupils, one of the largest Special Schools in the Country.
E.Comp Mallon also presented a cheque for the same amount to PHAB (Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied) Bebington Branch. PHAB creates opportunities for children and adults of all abilities to enjoy life together by supporting a network of around 180 clubs throughout England and Wales for all age-ranges, offering activities and holidays which members can share and enjoy together. Promoting and encouraging self-confidence and independence in young people of all abilities through a range of diverse projects.
