The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, which is based in Backford, held its annual ‘Chester Sparkle Walk’ around the City on the evening of 15th August. Over 800 fundraising participants, donned their walking shoes, pink shirts, glitter and Glow sticks to raise money in support of the Hospice.
Area 2 APGM, Gary Horstman, and Area Chairman, John Miller, were pleased to assist the Hospice by Marshalling this worthy Local Event. In doing so, supported their wives, who took part and photographed at the start.
The event raised significant monies for the Hospice, and both Brethren wore the ‘Cheshire Freemasons Serving our Community’ hi-Viz vests, as well as joining in with the Sparkle theme, on an evening which finished after midnight, but was none the less, enjoyed by all who took part.
Hopefully we may be able to support the Hospice again next year.
