On Sunday 22nd of April 2018, Area 2 held its Annual Spring Lunch at Clifton Road Masonic Hall, which was very well supported by the 60 Brethren, Ladies and Guests who enjoyed their individually selected four course lunch, on a relaxed and informal afternoon.
The Guest of honour was Mrs Teresa Nightingale of the Wirral Hospice St John’s, gave a Presentation on the work of the Hospice. She was delighted to receive, from our APGM and his Good Lady Wife, a further donation of £1000.00. W.Bro. Harry Wright (Provincial Charity Steward) had provided the donation from the Cheshire Freemasons Charity (CFC).
WBro Jeff and Pat Williams, were also pleased to present a cheque for £300.00 to the TLC, which was raised from the Proceeds of the Christmas Carol Concert. This was gratefully accepted, on behalf of the TLC, by WBro Neil Eaton.
A Raffle was well supported by the Brethren, who kindly donated Prizes, and raised the magnificent Total of £275.00 on the afternoon, which will further help support worthy local causes. The Area 2 ‘Spot the Maul’ also raised a further £77.00 on the day.
Our APGM concluded the afternoon, by thanking all who attended and supported the Lunch, with special thanks to WBro’s Phil McKeown, Graham Whitehouse, John Miller, and Peter Kellett for their involvement in ensuring its smooth running and success.
