On Sunday 27th August 2017, Area 1 and Area 2 held a Public Family Fun Day and ‘Teddy Bear Picnic’ at Tam O’Shanter’s Urban Farm on Bidston Hill, Wirral.
The weather was kind and many members of the public came and enjoyed a pleasant time visiting stalls and viewing the animals.
Entrance was free but a fair amount of money on the day which resulted in a donation of £285.00 being made to the Community Farm, which will go towards essential repairs to the animal enclosures. W.Bro. Neil Eaton was delighted to announce that, including a donation from the Tombola, the TLC display raised the magnificent sum of £210.00.
The day also received 2 genuine enquiries regarding Freemasonry which we hope will progress to fruition.
One of our members, Bro. Anthony Robinson (Big Ted) has agreed to do an abseil from the top of Leasowe Lighthouse on Saturday 30th September to raise funds for the TLC Appeal, Sponsorship details will be displayed on the TLC Cheshire Facebook page in due course. Please support him and the TLC Appeal if you are able.
Alan Glazier (DPGM) and Paul Massie (APGM Area 1) attended and were suitably impressed by the openness, the TLC stall, and the ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’. Masons from the two Areas helped and supported the event which was a great success.
