Runcorn 4214 supports Blood Bikes

WBro David Cox of Runcorn Lodge has recently joined the Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikes as a volunteer rider. The Blood Bikes are completely funded by charitable donations. To show support for David and the Charity, the members of Runcorn Lodge have made a donation of £500.00

Blood Bikes are a volunteer service transporting urgent medical supplies between hospitals, free of charge 24 hrs a day. Not just blood but baby milk for premature babies, samples and urgent equipment.

In the past hospitals have had to use couriers or taxis, so blood bikes save the NHS thousands of pounds each year.

They were formed three years ago starting in Shropshire but are now expanding to Cheshire with bikes currently at Sandbach, Winsford, Chester and on the Wirral.

A very worthy cause that Runcorn Lodge members are very pleased to support.
