Peter Stanford Sims.
Peter was initiated into the Royal Yorkshire Lodge, No.265 in 1964 as a Lewis. This proved inconvenient when he moved to Unilever considering in those days before the advent of the M62 the journey could take nearly three hours, and as a result his Lodge attendance suffered. He did, however, find the time to help his father write a history of the Lodge, and attended its bicentennial in 1987.
Peter joined Leverhulme Lodge in 1970, being proposed by Noel Savidge and seconded by Bill Bone. He served as Worshipful Master in 1979 and 1980, and again in 2000. He was appointed Provincial Junior Grand Warden for the Province of Cheshire in 2004, and was appointed to Grand Rank as PAGDC in 2008. He had been closely associated with Lodge Kildalton, No.552 in Port Ellen on the Isle of Islay in the Province of Argyll and the Isles since 1987 and was made an honorary member in 2000, formally affiliated in 2006. He was advanced as a Mark Master Mason there and was the Depute Master when the Lodge was finally declared dormant in 2012. Peter joined Leverhulme Royal Arch Chapter in 1981 now holding the rank of PPrGSN, and joined Pharus Rose Croix in 2003 where he is now 30th degree. He is also, since 2010, a member of De Tabley Council in the Order of Royal and Select Masters.
