On Sunday 2nd July 2017 Mark Robinson, a member of Manor Lodge No 4202, Wallasey, will be attempting to ride from Liverpool to Chester and back to Liverpool on his bike in aid of the Masonic Samaritan Fund.
The ride starts at Birkenhead tunnel and goes via Chester to Delamere Forest for an extra 50 mile challenge on top of the usual 50 miles to Chester and back. The ride also includes a total elevation of over 4300 feet.
Mark is hoping to raise in excess of £1000 for the Masonic Samaritan Fund and anyone can make a donation by going to his “just giving” page at
The Masonic Samaritan Fund supports Freemasons and their dependants. Grants are available for eligible applicants who have a diagnosed medical, dental, respite or mobility need and, faced with a long wait via the NHS or Local Authority, are unable to afford their own private treatment or care.
What adds to Mark’s challenge and difficulty of the ride is the fact that he suffers with arthritis in both knees and back from his service in the Royal Navy.
