Manor Lodge’s Initiation and Old English Night

On Saturday November 22nd Manor Lodge held an Initiation Ceremony for Mr Darren Crane.  The Ceremony was of the highest standard and under the direction of the Worshipful Master Bro. Steven Austin.   The meeting was attended by 63 members and guests.

After the Ceremony all the Brethren enjoyed an excellent Old English Night Festive Board which is an annual event held after the Manor Lodge November meeting, with lots of enjoyable banter and singing.   On the evening over £300 was collected and donated to Masonic Charities.

  1. It should also be noted that the visitors toast was responded to in an exemplary manner by Bro George Williams of Harewood Lodge, Province of West Riding. His response can only be described as a wonderful oration on the excellence and delight of masonic visiting, which captivated the room and then received a standing ovation from all present.

  2. We were pleased to attend this ceremony with Bro George Williams who has proved to be a fine, brother and an example of a worthy mason. Attending with us was the “Inner Circle” of Master Masons of Westbourne House Otley masonic Hall. All enjoyed the hospitality, good company and entertainment. Next time they promise to sing “On Ilkley Moor B’tat”.
