Following a collection at the March Installation of Elleray Park Lodge No 5620, £250 was raised for the Tim Cogley Foundation. This was boosted to £325 by applying to the CFC for enhanced funding.
The Lodge invited Tim’s father and brother to the April meeting of the lodge to present them with the cheque, after which followed a short talk by Martin Cogley about the charity and it’s aims before joining Elleray Park members and their visitors at the festive board.
The Tim Cogley Foundation was set up by family and friends in memory of Tim Cogley, who, at the age of 34, suffered an unexpected fatal heart attack whilst out with friends. The foundation aims to increase awareness of the need for coronary heart screening, particularly in the 18 to 40 age group.
