Data Protection

Brethren who were initiated into Freemasonry prior to 2005 and who have not joined a Craft Lodge or a Chapter since then, it is now recognised that they have never given consent for masonic charities to hold or use their personal data. They will have recently received a letter from UGLE asking for that consent. The Form P after 2005 contained a consent statement for those being Initiated into Freemasonry or existing members joining another Lodge or a Chapter.

For the avoidance of any doubt, I wish to confirm that if you are one of the Brethren who have received such a letter that it is genuine and does emanate from UGLE. It is not a third-party scam. The reasons why you have received the letter are as stated in the letter, being self-explanatory and potentially for your benefit. You are asked to complete the consent form and return it to UGLE at your earliest convenience.

Should you have any questions please address them to the Provincial Office (0161-980-6090) in the first instance.

Yours sincerely and fraternally,

Michael G Leese PAGDC

Provincial Grand Secretary
