A busy night to remember for the brethren and visitors at St. Hilary Lodge No. 3591 who meet at Manor Road Wallasey. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master WBro Paul Massie PAGDC was present to witness WBro Paul Richards PAGDC Chairman of the 2016 Cheshire Festival present WBro Paul Rowbottom Master of the Lodge with the Certificate of Patronage. St. Hilary Lodge is the 67th lodge to receive such a certificate and has contributed to £1,977,185 being raised to date for the Festival with several of its members being recognised for their individual contributions.
The evening had begun with some of the Past Masters in the lodge conducting a demonstration of the Ceremony of Initiation in exemplary fashion. To cap it all a new member has been proposed for membership of the lodge – a ceremony to be performed at the start of the new season in September by our in-coming WM John Horrocks. A great way to start his year!
At the Festive Board WBro Paul Massie PAGDC, APGM for Area 1, stressed the importance of attracting new candidates in order that the Lodge continues to grow. A challenge St. Hilary Lodge looks forward to meeting with its next candidate, as mentioned earlier, proposed for September.
